About
Gennifer Williams
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a master’s degree in social work. I use trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-informed practices to guide you along the way. I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. My experience is in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, stress, difficulty adjusting to life transitions, survivors of abuse and assault, gender-based violence, and LGBTQ+ and diverse populations. My approach to the therapeutic process is informed by my depth of knowledge in child and human development, adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), trauma, and toxic stress.

Being here tells me you desire and are ready for change. We will work together to identify behaviors, thought patterns, and barriers that may be preventing you from reaching your goals. I will guide you through modalities that will help you let go of suffering, problematic behaviors, self-limiting beliefs, and symptoms (including stress, anxiety, depression, grief, anger/irritability, sleep problems, fatigue, trouble with attention/focus, and more). I will provide tools to help you embrace a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your coping mechanisms, improve your mood, and thrive with increased daily functioning, self-efficacy, self-esteem, self-awareness, and authentic self-expression.
